Round and Round and Round - The Circle House

No, the circle house is not circular, but bedecked with a rather handsome paint scheme by its inhabitants! Yet another pre-production building from the imminent Mud Brickstarter Kickstarter from Fogou Models, this is a delightful little bijou residence.

The building comes with separate roof and door (both of which I've glued). Unlike my previous workshop, I've been restrained with the accessories, just adding a discrete Fogou A/C unit to the rear.

The Workshop and the Mechs

I've painted up another pre-production adobe building from Fogou Models to add to my growing town. This time I've decided to theme it as a mechanic's workshop to give it some narrative and to inform the accessories.

Like the previous Fogou adobes, from the last couple of posts, this building is genre neutral, with minimal wall details. To make it fit into my setting and work as a convincing workshop I've added a corner pipe, vent, air conditioning unit, light and little lean-to (all Fogou accessories). I also added a Crooked Dice generator to the roof and the door sign from a short length of plastic strip.

The Big Building In The Next Street - A Scenic Backdrop

In my most recent post about some new Fogou Models buildings, you may or may not have noticed the big building in the rear of the scene. Check it out - the one with the blue door:

If you didn't notice, that's fine. It's just a simple scenic backdrop that I quickly put together to stand behind my street scenes.

Bringing Colour to the Slums - New Fogou Buildings

You may have seen some of my previous buildings from Fogou Models, including several post-apocalyptic / sci-fi adobe houses and the fantastic Fort Hardknox. Fogou buildings are beautifully detailed and cast in a robust dense resin. I was delighted to hear that there is a new range of adobe buildings planned for a forthcoming Kickstarter.

The new buildings are designed to be genre neutral - suitable for ancient, modern or even sci-fi gaming, and I was delighted to be offered some pre-production samples to paint up. I was supplied with some larger two-storey buildings which can also be disassembled to use as two separate buildings. The interiors are also nicely detailed and the roofs removable, should you wish to use the interior for gaming.

There's a Scrap Fort in the Badlands...

I've been fortunate enough to have been given a preview set of a fantastic new scrap fort which is due to be released soon in a Kickstarter by Fogou Models. Fogou produce really high quality resin terrain kits. I've painted a number of the excellent frontier sci-fi buildings previously, and I was thrilled to receive an advance set of the new fort.

The copy of the fort I've been sent is roughly octagonal in shape, provided with three corner walls, 4 straight walls, a gate (to be located in the 4th corner) and elevated walkways/firesteps for all the walls except the gate.

Rural Tranquility - Fogou Scenery Set (Part 2)

In my last post, I showed off the forthcoming Fogou Models terrain set that I've just painted up. It's worth taking a look at the set in a bit more detail to see how I might use the set.

Besieged Space Marines defending a ruined farm from a horde of greenskins. That sounds familiar!

Rural Scrawl - Fogou Scenery Set (Part 1)

If you follow the blogs of Asslessman (Leadplague) or Curis (Ninjabread), you may have seen a few blogposts recently with some forthcoming terrain courtesy of the fabulous Fogou Models. The terrain is part of a new set from Fogou, with a Kickstarter due to go live in the next few weeks (I think the 22nd of May). The set comprises some lovely ruined buildings and walls, with loads of accessories.

I've been lucky enough to get an advance set to paint up and have been feverishly trying to finish the set over the last few weeks.

Any derelict building is the target of spray-can wielding perps!

Bringing it all Home - Fogou Terrain

I love it when I get the opportunity to paint up brand new stuff, so when I was sent a nice little package of some newly cast post-apocalyptic / science fiction buildings from Fogou Models (swapped for some of my Colony 87 figures).

I received the bundle of stuff below - a blockwork structure, an adobe building and a little tin shack. Also included was a nice selection of accessories - a barricade, some barrels and some pots and jars. I'm yet to paint up the blockwork building or the pots, but I devoted a couple of painting sessions to the rest of the items.
