Flight of the 'Tomorrow's World', the Pilot Series - a Five Parsecs From Home Adventure

You may not have heard of it, but the Flight of the 'Tomorrow's World', is considered a modern sci-fi classic. Running for just a single pilot series of seven episodes between 1995-1996, 'Tomorrow's World' was a visually exciting and entertaining show. Sadly the show ran into difficulties when trying to commission a second series - networks felt that some elements were too adult for broad appeal, and the high cost of special effects made it a costly proposition. It was cancelled after just the pilot series.

Synopsis: A crew of misfits, aliens and robots led by dashing human rogue Rico 'AAA' DuBois and mystic empath Yan Tibbault journey through fringe space in search of wealth, fame and answers to mysteries they encounter.

The crew of the Tomorrow's World

Set in the fringe space system of Golgotha, the series is full of exotic alien locations. Packed with high-energy action and a lot of laughs, Flight of the 'Tomorrow's World' was short-lived, but has become a science fiction TV classic! Rumours abound that a reboot is in the making - watch this space!

Unholy Rituals - a Necromunda Campaign Finale

The scene of dark rituals and death.

Wilhelm the Witch lay giggling atop the slag heap crowned with its altar to the dark gods. The psychic jolt of warp energy he had received after the success of the ritual still caused his limp body to twitch and stutter in the dirt. Next to him lay the body of Lady Jayne – the bearded psychic consort of Thrubb, clad in her gaudy yellow dress embroidered with red flowers never seen here in the underhive of Necromunda. Next to Lady Jayne, Thrubb himself, the bombastic mouthpiece of his own personality cult, was slumped and bleeding heavily. The bodies of many of the Cult of Thrubb were also scattered over the broken slag piles.

Bro'og the cow-faced chaos spawn didn't last long after being targeted by a heavy bolter.

+++ They Came From Beyond the Warp +++

Prologue: The Enemy Without

Some duties are heavier to bear than others. Guarding the Astropathic Temple of the Benevolent Listeners based on the planet Eccebestus is one many guards of the Beelraphon system aspire to. The planet is as peaceful and welcoming as the task and the Astropaths are dull.

It is such a quiet life here, it almost looks odd. Some would even wish for problems to occur to make it look more "normal". The answer to this might have arisen when an Astropath collapsed this morning without any explanation. His last words were "Don't let them take ANY of us with them...". From the agitation outside it seems there's another matter too. Things are getting way too "normal" all of a sudden. That's one hell of a report you're going to have to send to HQ...

My good friend JB (aka Asslessman) has conceived an international, multi-game system narrative campaign, incorporating games of Rogue Trader, Space Crusade, Space Hulk, Space Fleet and possibly others. I believe some of these games will be played at Bring Out Your Lead 2017 at Wargames Foundry in July. JB asked if myself and another good friend, Graham, would like to start off the whole thing with a small scale skirmish using the Inquisimunda rules. Of course we would!
