Inq et Nunc - Imperial Navy Bodyguard

One of my favourites of all the 54mm Inquisitor models is the Imperial Navy Bodyguard or Bosun. He's an unusual subject - an Imperial that isn't an Inquisitor or Guardsman. I also love his piratical gear and no-nonsense look.

I believe the figure was sculpted by Bob Naismith. The kit comes with a nice scarred head, some arm options and a selection of accessories for his waist.

I chose the bionic hook for his left arm rather than the cutlass - it just had more presence!

I had to do a bit of sculpting on the rear of the torso to make the fit better.

I've painted a few 28mm Imperial Navy figures in the past and painted Bosun Sol Rennick to match. He got a mid-blue uniform with white and gold detailing.

I figured such a nicely modelled bionic leg would also get a shiny gold finish!

He looks nice and imposing alongside some of my other 54mm figures:

The primary colours on these three makes them look like a 40k version of Power Rangers!

I'm hoping to make some more Naval crew for Bosun Rennick to order around - that will be a future project though!

A little bit of photo-editing and forced perspective to get a suitable environmental shot!
