40k Civilian Tipper Truck

Back in 2018 or 2019, our Necromunda group played a big multiplayer rolling road game - everyone mounted their gang in one or more vehicles. Jason used an old beat-up 40k civilian truck he'd made as scenery some time previously. The paint job was tired, it was missing a wheel, a mudguard and the entire rear section was detached, but it served the purpose in speeding his gang around the board.

After the game he gave it to me to repair and rebuild, as he knew I'd use it. Embarrassingly, the truck sat in various boxes and storage locations pretty much ever since. Until now!

In a few weeks time I'll be joining in a big multiplayer Necromunda game with vehicles at Bootleg Bring Out Your Lead. I plan to bring along my scavvy gang and needed another vehicle to mount them in, so I dug out Jason's old damaged truck and spent the last couple of evenings repairing and repainting it.

Here's the truck with its brand new paintjob, replacement wheel, repaired mudguard and re-attached rear section:

Jason's original paintjob was also grey. I repainted the truck a darker shade then added plenty of rust, weathering and graffiti.

I also added the '23' decals to the side and front of the truck...

...and the hazard striped edge to the rear.

I'm sure I'll be able to get plenty of scavvy fighters into the back of this thing!
