You can cut and paste all of the comments I made about scavvies and heavy stubbers to apply to scavvies with grenade launchers. Essentially it boils down to the fact that I wanted to make this figure and Lumpy Mo will get used in a variety of different games systems!
Lumpy Mo started out life as an Imperial Guard Tallarn special weapons trooper. The head came from my bits box (no idea on the original source) and the right foot came from a 40k ratling. Then it was a case of adding the extra details, rips & tatters.
I enjoyed painting Lumpy Mo's head pustules, although I worry he's veering pretty far along the mutie route (and is dangerous to spend too much time around!).
In spite of being a Perry rather than Goodwin sculpt, I think he matches up pretty well stylistically to the Goodwin scavvies:

I think he fits in very well. Scavvies are nasty buggers and go in nasty areas, only stands to reason that they'd contract nasty conditions being exposed to the worst chems and other substances.
ReplyDeleteYep, he's been spending far too long grubbing around in some nasty stuff alright! Thanks Dai.
DeleteDefinitely a good match with the others. The Tallarn coat and leg bandages fit with the rest of the scavvies really well, as does the colour scheme. Very nice GS work as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Toby - those are the features that spoke to me too!
DeleteThe head is fittingly enough from the scavvy dog pack they released with necromunda's 2nd ed.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestion. I have those scavvy dogs and it's not actually one of those heads - it has no ears and lots of pastures, which differs from the dog heads!
DeleteHe is indeed, granted with great camouflage along his fellow scavy friends. Nice sculpting and painting !
ReplyDeleteThanks very much, glad you like him!
DeleteNice work and he fits in well with the others, the Tallarn figures could be put to a lot of different uses in my view.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I agree, those Tallarns have a lot of potential to be repurposed.
