Rebel Scum - Iron Claw Space Pirates

Although it's an acquired taste, I really like Bob Olley's sculpting style. The heavily creased cloth and exaggerated faces make for fun miniatures to paint. Over the weekend, I was chatting with my friend Mr Saturday over the delights of Olley figures and upcoming projects. Then we played a massive game of the Battle of Hoth.

When I got home, I couldn't resist digging out my Iron Claw space pirates and a few ancillary Olley sculpts. "I bet they would look good painted up as rebel commandos", I thought...

Cyberpunk Combat Zone - Danger Gals Gonks

As I understand it, gonks are low-quality fodder which can be used to bulk out your Cyberpunk gangs. In my head, these are broadly equivalent to Necromunda juves. Monster Fight Club produce a pack of three themed gonks that can be used as part of a Danger Gals gang - all three have the mandatory cat-ear headbands and a healthy slice of attitude!

I had fun adding the Danger Gals icon onto the shipping container with my Posca paint markers.

Cyberpunk Combat Zone - Danger Gals Gang

It's my good friend cheetor's 50th birthday in a few weeks time. A group of us are heading to his place for a weekend of gaming, including a game that's new to me: Cyberpunk Danger Zone by Monster Fight Club. I'm going in to the game totally blind - I don't know the gameplay mechanics or strategies. I'm not even familiar with Cyberpunk as a genre! Nonetheless, I've obtained, built and painted a gang to allow me to participate.

I wanted to pick a faction that wasn't already being used by one of the other players, so the options available to me were Edgerunners (a catch-all gang made up of bounty hunters, rogue agents and oddballs) or Danger Gals (security agents with cat ears). I ended up plumping for the Danger Gals - the faction that was going to be simplest to use for a first timer.
