The Friday meetup at Warhammer World provides us with a different vibe, an opportunity to play some subtly different games, and a chance to meet with Nottingham-based folks who aren't able to make it to the main event over the weekend.

This year we planned to run a mini-campaign of three (or four) linked Shadow War: Armageddon games. With potentially up to 13 players (in actuality we hit a peak of 9) we split into two factions - evil-doing bad guys and law-keeping good guys.

The Good Guys:
Comprising Paul aka cheetor with a team of Arbites, Colin aka Whiskey Priest with his Ordo Xenos Inquisitor, Chris aka antipixi with his Sisters of Battle and Chris aka Curis with his Mercenary Pirates. The good guys were also bolstered for a round by Andy from Tales from the Maelstrom with yet another Inquisitor.
The Bad Guys:
You'll have seen my Ratling Kill Team. It turns out those little guys are renegades! I was also joined by Shane aka Erasmus Papafakis with his Eldar Pirates, JB aka Asslessman with his Hive Nobles and Graham aka Greater Harlequin with his Piscean Mercenaries.
Like an idiot, I forgot to take any photos of the individual Kill Teams, and very few in-game photos. Below are the ones I did take!

In order to keep games loosely themed, we applied the same subplots to each round. We also allowed the use of a free Special Operative to each player in game 2 (although my arco-flagellant and Whiskey Priests Deathwatch Marine both died without inflicting any damage or positively influencing the game in any way!).
After a full and fun day of gaming, which included brief cameos from our US friends Tom (airbornegrove) and Chris (Bulldog Lopez), we headed out into the bright lights of Nottingham for pizzas and beer. And of course, in anticipation of BOYL across Saturday and Sunday.
