Whistle for the Big Dog - Final Dogskin gangers

A final pair of gangers to bring my Confrontation dogskin gang up to ten members strong. This means that I can field them as a Stargrave crew, and have just about enough members for a short Necromunda campaign.

This pair are intended as specialists / champions / heavies, providing some needed firepower with the heavy stubber, as well as a tracker/sniper type armed with a lasgun and scope. 

Both figures are conversions. The heavy is made from a lovely Mark Copplestone Grenadier barbarian hero (still available through Forlorn Hope).

I added the skull face mask (a GW Space Wolf accessory), heavy stubber from the old Necromunda special character Brakar the Avenger) and some pouches from a plastic Stargrave kit.

The tracker tweaks are a little bit more subtle. All I did was replace his ratskin hood with one from a Confrontation dogskin model, then trim and clad the rat-tail with fur. Hopefully the result says 'dog' rather than 'rat'!

I loved painting the heavy - Mark Copplestone's figures are full of lovely crisp details and clean lines. I kept the palette the same as with the previous dogskins, only adding the striped trousers as a way of indicating his status.

Not much more to say about the tracker - the same colour scheme again, just with some variety on the warpaint.

No rat-tail in sight!

So that's another Confrontation project closed off. For those of you keeping count, I've only actually got two more Confrontation gangs still to go (Elites and Scavvies), although I have got several other figures I plan to round out some of the existing gangs with. For now though, here's a full-gang shot of the dogskins.
