On to two of my favourite Star Wars characters: Han & Chewie (once again with a Bob Olley twist!).
Both of these figures are conversions. Han is a Frankenstein's monster with the legs of a Citadel genestealer hybrid, torso of a Kryomek Orion rogue, and the right arm from an EM4 mercenary.

| I had planned to use the Orion rogue's original right arm, but swapped it out to give me the iconic Han pose. |
Chewie is made from a Ral Partha AD&D taer:

| I used the middle figure. I might one day make another pair of wookies with the spares. |
I extended the legs and added more facial hair and head head, as well as sculpting the bandolier and bag. His bowcaster is made from a Kryomek gun with the rim from a slottabase added.
I went for Han's Bespin outfit as it was closer to the sculpt. In hindsight, I wish I'd spent the time to convert him to wear the iconic gunslinger waistcoat, but it'll do!
Chewie was super-quick to paint with washes and drybrushing:
All in all, I'm pretty happy with the way they look as a duo and individually.

Fantastic project, really enjoying watching all the SW minis appear through the you and Bob Olley. 😁
ReplyDeleteThanks Rob! Bob did all the hard work- I'm just adding a little SW lens 😉
DeleteLooking good!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteGreat stuff - can't have "Star Wars" without these two. And, Bespin Solo is the best Solo anyway right?!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kym! I always liked Han's cool jacket 😎
