I've had a bunch of Crooked Dice's Junktown bits waiting paint for a long while. As I needed some new walls for this coming weekend's Stargrave game, I decided I'd paint up the scrapwalls from the set. I really enjoyed working on these. The paintjobs are superquick with sponging, drybrushing and washes. A few spot colours for variety and some graffitti with my Posca paint pens, and it was job done!

You can buy almost anything in Junktown. Whether it works or not is another matter! |
My favourite element on these is the scavvy 'Smiley'. Very simple to do with the Posca pens. I liked it so much I did it three times! The brat 'Boo!' also makes an appearance - I've used this on previous terrain - nice to see the brats are still active!!

I'm not sure who BAZ is, but they definitely get around the place with their tags!
I suspect I'll use these a lot in both games and photoshoots - they're nicely detailed and very functional. Of course, it does suggest that perhaps I ought to paint up more of the Junktown bits.
Your terrain is always so well done mate. Really adds to your setting in a very evocative fashion.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dai! I think you can go pretty rough and ready with terrain, but attention on few details can really lift the look.
