Third House on the Left - The Final Prototype 40k Building

Back in 2018 I managed to acquire two prototype hardfoam 40k buildings. They've been a staple in my gaming collection, and I've thoroughly enjoyed using them. About 18 months later, I was lucky enough to source the third and final prototype building from this set. Typically it has sat in a box until last week when I decided I wanted something quick and fun to paint up.

I decided to paint it up with a little splash more colour than I used on the original plain grey pair. The dull yellow I've used on my Necromunda habs was ideal!

I decided that all the pipework across the frontage and the roof-mounted tank suggested the building might be some sort of fuel store, so I added the nice signage with a letter stencil.

The rough and ready finishing on the building lends itself to a similarly scrappy paintjob, so it was nice to get in with some big brushes and not have to be too precise. It's not the most exiting paintjob in the world, but terrain to my mind needs to provide a backdrop for figures, not take the focus.

Most importantly though, I'm really happy to have finally completed the trio of buildings!
