Reminds me of when Mike McVey painted someone else's conversion (John Blanche I think); for the record it was a Slaanesh Champ in a chaos steed. Loving that flesh and those tiles really set it off. It really helped that I had an Inquisitor for him to accompany - the model then informed the story, which informed the painting.

Glad you like him :)axiomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11598298167403563382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-560709119022789110.post-56624607430364648842014-12-17T15:22:54.242+00:002014-12-17T15:22:54.242+00:00It's fun isn't it? painted something conve...It's fun isn't it? painted something converted by someone else gets you out of the confort zone and makes you think a little, I really like that !Asslessmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09475252828835332056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-560709119022789110.post-3164203344360456242014-12-17T15:16:58.176+00:002014-12-17T15:16:58.176+00:00I think you've done a better job on him than I...I think you've done a better job on him than I would've, that's why I never got round to painting him, I couldn't see where I wanted him to be.

I'm glad that Dirske has made a home for an aging hero of the imperium, he really fits in. Figures with new colour schemes take longer. This guy was pretty simple to paint - flesh, beard, fur, loincloth and minimal metallics. Something like a Brat with all the jewels, bows etc takes longer :D

It was great fun to paint something conceived by someone else...I wonder if I executed it as Colin had in mind?axiomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11598298167403563382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-560709119022789110.post-10361245123910065682014-12-17T13:49:40.030+00:002014-12-17T13:49:40.030+00:00I'm really amazed to see what you can achieve ...I'm really amazed to see what you can achieve in a night session ! Even boyldrick took me 2 !
I really love the background you gave Aigulf, some real grim darkness here, felt like reading the Inquisitor rule book (mean it as a compliment). Th euse of stimm could also be the perfect excuse to use the combat drugs in Necro and confrontation too.

Brilliant team works you guys !Asslessmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09475252828835332056noreply@blogger.com
