Return to Mordheim - Nurglite Dark Souls

Next up for the Mordheim Possessed are a pair of dark souls -  more sinister hooded characters with covered faces!

The guy on the left is an unmodified Citadel Collectors Series evil fighter. It's a brilliant Jes Goodwin sculpt that was perfect as a dark soul with his hood and ventail. I converted the figure on the right to match the evil fighter. He started out as a Slaanesh beastman:

The horns had already been removed by a previous owner, so all I needed to do was carefully cut away the legs, which I replaced with the legs from a wood elf champion.

These guys have a colour scheme to match the magister and warlock. I just introduced the dark grey as an another neutral cloth colour.

I'm particularly happy with how the shields came out. The three pinky-red circles are a subtle nod to the Nurgle rune.

The group is at least starting to look a bit more like a warband now!

  2. They remind me of the Las Plagas monks from Resident Evil 4.

    1. I'm not familiar with those, so I'll have to take your word for it.

    1. Thanks Bill. It took me a little while to nail the rusty look, but (like a lot of stuff) all comes down to a bit of paint application with scraps of foam!
